Rapid City, South Dakota was our basecamp as we traveled around the area to see Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Wind Cave NP and Badlands NP. It was a lot to see in just a few days, and we had some incredible experiences. For one, Owen took the oath to officially become a Junior Ranger, which he is now quite proud of and takes very seriously.

Voyageurs National Park - Minnesota
This incredible park was the first stop on our grand National Park adventure. On June 15th 2020 we left our home base in the Twin Cities to head north to Voyageurs, which is in Minnesota, right on the Canadian border. The park was beautiful, and the people were friendly…when we saw any. It was almost like we had this wonderful wilderness all to ourselves!
